"Someone needed to serve the church that is busy serving the people. That's why Church Nerds exists."
Church Nerds didn't start because I had all the answers. We started it because I watched churches struggle with things that were completely fixable. Change can be difficult. Our goal is to help you get better to serve better.
With over a decade of practical ministry experience, I have served in every role imaginable. Serving as a student leader as a teen, to my first paid ministry position as a Janitor, to next gen, executive, and even in broader denominational headquarters. And through it all, I kept seeing the same thing: the church was so busy pouring out that nobody was pouring back in.
Watching churches navigate after 2020 was one of the hardest things I've witnessed in ministry. Churches that were already stretched thin suddenly had to reinvent how they operated overnight. Typically with no playbook, no outside perspective, and often no one in their corner to help them think it through. Then a lot seemed to get stuck or give up.
I had conversations with pastor after pastor who was exhausted, isolated, and carrying more than anyone around them knew. Churches began to have blind spots they couldn't see on their own. Staff teams running on empty. And almost nobody on the outside offering honest, practical help.
That's when I knew. Someone needed to serve the church that is busy serving the people. So I built Church Nerds to be that someone.
What makes Church Nerds different isn't a methodology or a framework. It's lived experience across every level of church life.
"The church pours into everyone around it. We want to be the ones who pour back into the church."
Whether it's a fresh set of eyes on your church or a safe space for your pastor — we're here. Let's start with a conversation.
